Initial D: Vol. 43 - Chapter 623

Chapter one of two for this week. This one was pretty long. Lots technical info. Enjoy!

  1. Are you guys looking for any specific help on the manga? I'm no translator, but I've done editing work on scanlations before, so if you guys need any help in that department, let me know.

  2. The term Yankee refers to a juvenile delinquent. Most delinquent gangs in manga are the fighting type, but street racers fall into this category as well. By calling them Yankees, they are essentially looking down on them, dismissing them as rebellious kids.

Oh and it's fine just to leave it as Yankee in my opinion, but you could translate it as delinquent if you wanted to.

  3. Are you sure that the conversation between shinji and his mother correctly translated? It is a completely different dialogue in the anime.

    1. I could be wrong, from what I remember I had a hard time with this one. they also may have changed it for the anime, since they leave out certain parts.
